Call To Book
My enthusiasm for holistic health is an inheritance from my mother, who raised me to understand the importance of maintaining good health through a balanced diet and lifestyle. I also grew up in Germany, where healthcare has remained very traditional and homeopathy is still utilized with a greater focus on treating the cause, instead of the symptom.
As a practitioner and constant seeker, one of my greatest discoveries has been, that the body is one holistic system and that everything is truly connected. There is a cause and there is an effect. Any imbalance, be it mental or physical, will affect us somehow and somewhere. In an attempt to re-establish some type of balance and move away from pain, many of us disconnect from our own bodies. I am dedicated to helping you understand what is happening within your body and guide you in the process of finding back to yourselves. I have learned that newfound awareness can lead to self- empowerment in a client and in turn allow for holding patterns to unwind and breakthrough healing to occur.
Pursuing massage and bodywork was a natural development and a culmination of my passions and discoveries. I have been practicing Yoga for over 12 years now and received my first Reiki initiation in 2001. I traveled extensively during my twenties and was fortunate to have had many encounters with a variety of healers of different styles. I began my journey by becoming certified as a Yoga instructor at the ‘Seven Centers of Yoga Arts’ in beautiful Sedona, Arizona. Here, I learned an invaluable amount about the body and the mind, the chakra system, aromatherapy, and herbs, as well as Ayurvedic tradition and healing.
I later obtained my certification in Massage Therapy from the ‘Sedona School of Massage’, where I received training in numerous modalities and techniques, including Swedish Massage, Connective Tissue Therapy, Myofascial techniques, Neuromuscular Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Ortho-Bionomy®, Polarity Therapy, Shiatsu, Craniosacral Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Hot Stone Massage, Integrative Massage and Homeopathy.
After the completion of my massage training, I took additional courses in Ortho-Bionomy® and continued on to become Ortho- and Sports massage certified at the ‘Boulder College of Massage Therapy’ in Boulder, Colorado. It was there, that I learned amazing techniques to treat injuries, work with athletes and assist in the healing of trauma.
In my philosophy of health, there is no "perfect". We are human, made up of infinite chemical reactions and interactions. All of us have stress and some type of trauma to process and we all deal with and manifest “our stuff” in individual ways. I appreciate the importance to meet every client at their own level and I am honored that my clients allow me to assist them in their processes of wellness and healing.
